La Rosa, Taranto, Italy
July 19th - 25th 2025
La Rosa is a retreat center dedicated to creating a healthy, positive, and regenerating environment with exceptional energy and tranquil surroundings.
Their attention to detail and unique food philosophy to the attention for detail ensures an exceptional experience.
Each morning practice will consist of asana, pranayama, and meditation. Each class will explore a specific focus of awareness and skills to access aspects of ourselves that have little chance to surface in our regular routines and distracted lives. We will move and play with shifting perceptions of ourselves and our potential. The days are structured so there is plenty of time to enjoy visiting local towns or the beaches of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, or simply retreat to the pool or beautiful living spaces. We are situated between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas and can enjoy day beach and town excursions. Evening practice will consist of a combination of stretching, restorative, and guided relaxation.
In 2008 La Rosa began it’s restoration. The Masseria is typical of the southern Italian farmhouses, particularly in Puglia, built between the medieval period and the 17th century. M.F.K. Fisher, The Art of Eating
“Taste is that one of our senses which gives us the greatest joy… because it can mingle with all other pleasures, and even console us for their absence.”
Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin
La Rosa believes that sharing of food has always been part of the human story; every meal is an experience of connection as we the celebrate joy and health.
‘We offer a delicious cuisine, based on PH alkaline diet with a wide variety of locally sourced products and organic ingredients, carefully selected among the freshest food of this great agricultural region.
You will experience a healthy food journey through the Italian culinary culture and heritage; traditional recipes and contemporary cuisine combined with lots of vegan, raw and gluten & dairy free dishes.
Many fresh fruits and vegetables are picked from our kitchen garden and the menu changes according to the seasonality of products, bringing different tasteful delights to the table.
Bread, pastries and pasta are homemade but due to the special ingredients like buckwheat, spelt or kamut flour, these are all much lighter and healthier.’
