Andrea has been practicing yoga and meditation for 30 years. I study under Rod Stryker of the Himalayan tradition, Judith Lasater, Cyndi Lee and John Immel of Joyful Belly, and am an ERYT 500 and Yoga Alliance continued education provider, Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist and have a Master certification in Ayurvedic Digestion and Nutrition.
Sankalpa Yoga
Yoga with Intention. Rooted in Vinyasa and Ayurveda. This alchemical practice blends asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mindfulness meditation, visualization, Ayurvedic principles, and energetic work.
During this intelligently sequenced flow you will learn the tools to bring you closer to your true nature. You will build strength and stability to recognise your needs. You will develop the clarity to make choices that bring you closer to your own source of happiness, your higher self.
Andrea has a playful approach to teaching with a strong emphasis on alignment. Through her extensive teaching experience she has the discernment to adapt poses and intuitively hold space to meet each persons particular needs. Her class is suitable for all levels of practitioner.
I strive to offer insight to physical strength, alignment, meditation practices, relaxation techniques, food and the science of holistic balance for self-healing. I lead group and private classes as well as offer Ayurvedic consultations and cleanes to optimize wellbeing and digestive health.
Retreat is an integral aspect of my offerings, daily asana, time with meditation and Yoga Nidra whether it is a 20 minute practice on your mat or a beautiful encounter and immersion in nature. Experience is what we are here for.
